Industry Relations

Indigenous Communities are faced with responding to myriad notifications and requests for engagement and consultation regarding a wide range of proposed and operating projects in their territories.  Not only does the requested consultation often not meet the needs and preferences of communities, but the timelines within which to respond, and the lack of resources – both human and financial – can hamper a community’s ability to engage in the regulatory process.

Endeavour Scientific provides Industry Relations services to communities to enable them to more fully participate in Regulatory and Consultation Processes.  While these services include providing short-term support to meet human resource constraints, the objective is to work with individual communities to develop specific frameworks and approaches to enable each community to engage in the regulatory process according to their needs, their preferences, and to their benefit.

This includes confirming community priorities, developing standard response protocols, coordinating and preparing regulatory responses, identifying follow up approaches and developing frameworks for managing and evaluating relationships with industry.

Endeavour has provided industry relations support for Indigenous communities in and outside of the oil sands region, including coordinating regulatory submissions and designing industry relations processes.
